Laboratory tests

Our office has an analyses laboratory allowing us to obtain the results within a matter of minutes.

On-site analyses

The analyses we can perform within the office include the following :

  • Urine analyses: Density, presence of crystals.

  • Hematological analyses: This is the basic analysis in hematology: it provides numerous quantitative information on the different cell lines present in the blood: red blood cells (e.g. anemia or erythrocytosis), white blood cells (e.g. leukocytosis or leukopenia) and platelets (e.g. thrombocytopenia).

  • Biochemical analyses: the analyzer allows you to evaluate the kidneys (urea, creatinine), the liver (ALT, PAL, GGT, Albumin, TP, Bilirubin), blood sugar (hypoglycemia, diabetes), fat metabolism (cholesterol, triglyceride) …

  • Ionogram: this involves checking the 3 main ions which are potassium, chlorine and sodium. These dosages are useful in particular for the diagnosis of certain diseases (Addison's disease, renal failure, etc.) and the management of infusions in hospitalization (potassium supplementation, etc.).

  • Stool analyzes: we check the presence of gastrointestinal parasites in all types of animals (dogs, cats, horses, etc.)

  • Infectious tests: Certain infectious diseases can be diagnosed with rapid tests such as leptospirosis.

  • Hormonal tests: the clinic's analyzer allows us to measure the 2 hormones responsible for the main hormonal diseases of our pets, namely the thyroid hormone T4 (hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism) and cortisol (Cushing's syndrome and Addison's disease ).

Some analyzes do not require a consultation, stools and urine can be deposited and are analyzed during the day.
